Go to ads.openai.com, create an ad account, verify your business and add billing. New self-serve accounts may only advertise in their home country at first.
Choose an objective: Views (pay per 1,000 times shown), Clicks (pay per click to your site) or Conversions. For a first test, Clicks is the simplest to judge.
OpenAI recommends a daily budget for newcomers. It's an average over the week: one day can spend up to twice it, but the week stays within seven times it.
On your first campaign you may not see start and end dates until after publishing. Don't publish just to reach them: the ad can start as soon as it passes review.
Each ad shows your business name, a headline, a short description, an image and the web page it links to. Use the 'Ad drafts' prompt to get several versions to test.
In the ad group, describe the conversations and topics where your ad fits (e.g. 'planning an office lunch for 20 people in Petaling Jaya'). They guide matching; they aren't exact keywords.
Add tracking tags (UTM tags) to your link, then after a week compare views, clicks and cost per click in Ads Manager with real enquiries on your side. Keep the best version, pause the rest.
Write 5 versions of a ChatGPT ad for my business. Each needs: a headline (under 40 characters), a description (under 120 characters) and a suggested image idea. Business: [name and what you sell] Area: [town or country] Who it's for and what makes us different: [customers; 1-2 facts, e.g. same-day delivery] Use a different angle for each (benefit, problem solved, local, speed, reassurance). British English. No 'best' or 'number one' claims, no prices I haven't given, no guaranteed results.💬 Context hints
List 10 short descriptions of conversations someone might have with ChatGPT just before they'd want a business like mine: [business and area]. Each should describe the person's situation and need in plain words, e.g. 'planning a small office lunch for 20 people in Petaling Jaya'. Avoid anything sensitive (health, money troubles, children's personal details).
