Pick categories you can judge in person, such as furniture, tools, cameras or phones. Knowing the item is what protects you from fakes.
Create a new Bot (the video calls it Penny).
Open the Bot, switch to its Computer tab and sign in to Facebook yourself. Never paste your password into the chat.
Fill in the 'Flip finder' prompt below with your area, distance and categories, then send it.
For each find, open the eBay sold listings yourself and subtract selling fees and postage before deciding.
Only let the Bot send a simple 'Is this still available?' message after you approve it. Arrange collection yourself.
Meet in a safe public place, test the item and never pay a deposit up front for something you haven't seen.
You are [bot name], my flip finder. Every day, check Facebook Marketplace and eBay within [25] km of [my town] for free or underpriced [categories]. For each item, check what similar items have actually sold for on eBay (sold listings, not asking prices), then estimate profit after selling fees and postage. Put everything in a table with a screenshot, link, asking price, typical sold price and estimated profit, and send me the three best. For each, ask me: 'Want me to message: is this available?' Never send a message, make an offer or pay for anything without my yes.
