🧰 Before you start
- A paid plan that includes Grok Bot (SuperGrok / SuperGrok Plus / SuperGrok Heavy, or a paid Cursor plan) and the Grok Bot app on your phone or computer
- A Facebook account you're happy to sign in to on the Bot's own computer, and an eBay account for checking sold prices
- Space to store items and a way to collect them
- A small budget you can afford to lose if an item doesn't sell
🪜 Step by step
- 1☐
Choose what you know
Pick categories you can judge in person, such as furniture, tools, cameras or phones. Knowing the item is what protects you from fakes.
- 2☐
Create the bot
Create a new Bot (the video calls it Penny).
- 3☐
Sign in on the Bot's computer
Open the Bot, switch to its Computer tab and sign in to Facebook yourself. Never paste your password into the chat.
- 4☐
Paste the flip-finder prompt
Fill in the 'Flip finder' prompt below with your area, distance and categories, then send it.
- 5☐
Check the numbers
For each find, open the eBay sold listings yourself and subtract selling fees and postage before deciding.
- 6☐
Say yes or no to messages
Only let the Bot send a simple 'Is this still available?' message after you approve it. Arrange collection yourself.
- 7☐
Inspect before you pay
Meet in a safe public place, test the item and never pay a deposit up front for something you haven't seen.
💬 Copy-paste prompts
Tap Copy prompt, paste it into your AI (Grok, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini), then replace the [yellow bits] with your own details.
You are [bot name], my flip finder. Every day, check Facebook Marketplace and eBay within [25] km of [my town] for free or underpriced [categories]. For each item, check what similar items have actually sold for on eBay (sold listings, not asking prices), then estimate profit after selling fees and postage. Put everything in a table with a screenshot, link, asking price, typical sold price and estimated profit, and send me the three best. For each, ask me: 'Want me to message: is this available?' Never send a message, make an offer or pay for anything without my yes.
⚠️ Tips & common mistakes
- Income figures here are the video creator's own targets and claims, not results we have checked and not a promise. Most people earn less, especially at the start.
- Marketplace is full of scams: fake listings, deposit requests and stolen goods. If a deal looks too good, it often is.
- Meta's terms limit automated use of Facebook. Keep the bot's browsing light and human-paced, and accept that your account carries the risk.
- Selling regularly for profit can count as a business for tax purposes; keep simple records.
