🧰 Before you start
- A paid plan that includes Grok Bot (SuperGrok / SuperGrok Plus / SuperGrok Heavy, or a paid Cursor plan) and the Grok Bot app on your phone or computer
- An Upwork freelancer profile (or an X account) that clearly shows what you sell
- A Gmail account and a free Airtable or Google Sheets account for the job list
- A clear list of 3-4 services you can genuinely deliver, with rough prices
🪜 Step by step
- 1☐
Write down what you sell
List 3-4 services you can deliver well (the video uses landing pages, Shopify fixes, AI chatbots and automations) and the lowest job budget you'd accept.
- 2☐
Create the bot
In Grok Bot, create a new Bot and give it a name (the video calls it Ace). Pick any colour and icon you like.
- 3☐
Connect your accounts
Open the Bot's connectors and connect Upwork, Gmail and Airtable (or Google Sheets). Only connect what you need. Upwork's own rules say an AI may draft a proposal but you must review and confirm it yourself.
- 4☐
Paste the job-finder prompt
Copy the 'Job finder' prompt below, fill in the [brackets] and send it to the Bot. It should set up a repeating routine (a scheduled job) you can see in the Bot's details.
- 5☐
Check the first list
Open the sheet after the first run. Make sure the scores make sense and that it skipped jobs with unverified payment or lots of proposals already.
- 6☐
Approve pitches one by one
Read each draft. Fix anything that overstates your skills, then submit it yourself on the platform. Never let the bot send pitches in bulk.
- 7☐
Optional: tune it weekly
Tell the Bot which pitches won replies and ask it to adjust its scoring and writing style to match.

💬 Copy-paste prompts
Tap Copy prompt, paste it into your AI (Grok, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini), then replace the [yellow bits] with your own details.
Your name is [bot name], my job-finder bot. Your job is to help me win paid client work that I can actually deliver. I sell: [service 1], [service 2], [service 3]. Every [2] hours on weekdays, search Upwork (with the Upwork connector), X and Reddit for new jobs that match. Only keep jobs with verified payment, fewer than [10] proposals and a budget over [USD 150]. Score each job out of 100 for fit and add it to my [Airtable base / Google Sheet] with the link, budget, score and a one-line reason. For every job scoring over [75], open the client's website or shop, find the exact problem, and draft a pitch under 120 words: their problem in their words, my fix, a price, a timeline and one question. Never submit, send or message anything until I approve it. Never claim skills or results I haven't listed.
⚠️ Tips & common mistakes
- Income figures here are the video creator's own targets and claims, not results we have checked and not a promise. Most people earn less, especially at the start.
- Upwork bans bots that act faster than a human, bulk or spam proposals and scraping, and can suspend your account. Use the official Upwork connector, keep volume human-sized and submit each pitch yourself.
- Never let the bot invent experience. A pitch that misrepresents you breaks Upwork's terms and loses the client anyway.
- Keep yourself as the final step: tell the bot to draft, then wait for your OK before anything is sent, bought or posted.
