💸 What will this really cost me?
Prices checked 27 Oct 2026- 🧪 To try it once
- Free: ChatGPT's free plan includes limited image creation, enough for one flyer.
- 🔁 To keep it running
- ChatGPT Plus: USD 20 a month gives more and better image creation, as the chef in the source uses.
- ⚠️ Watch out for
- The free plan limits how many images you can make each day, so a lot of back-and-forth may need Plus or a wait. Canva's free plan is enough for fixing text.
🔗 Official pricing: ChatGPT pricing
Prices change often, so check the links before you pay. Amounts exclude tax. Prices are shown in each provider's own currency.

ℹ️ How we work this out
Prices come from each provider's own pricing page (checked 21 Oct 2026; amounts exclude tax). Small upgrade = up to MYR 250 a month more than you pay now. Big upgrade = more than MYR 250 a month more. Check pricing = the provider doesn't publish a price we could confirm. The badges are worked out in MYR at USD 1 = MYR 4.08 (Bank Negara Malaysia, 19 Oct 2026). Each guide's needs come from its own "What will this really cost me?" box. Make a square Instagram flyer. Style: single-line drawing of old shophouses in grey chalk on cream paper, lots of empty space, calm and elegant. Text exactly as written: - PASTA NIGHT AT KOPI LANE - Saturday 14 November, 7pm to 10pm - 22 Jalan Bunga, Georgetown - Sambal prawn linguine · Rendang ravioli · Pandan panna cotta - MYR 68 per person, book by DM Keep the text large and easy to read on a phone. Don't add any other words. Then list every word that appears on the image so I can check it.

🧰 Before you start
- A ChatGPT account (free works for a few images a day; Plus gives more)
- The exact event details: name, date, time, address, menu or programme, price
- One sentence describing the style you like (or a picture you like the look of)
- Canva or your phone's photo editor, to fix any wrong text
🪜 Step by step
- 1☐
Pick a style in one sentence
Name the medium, colour and mood, for example 'single-line drawing of a city skyline in grey chalk on cream paper'. A clear style is what stops it looking like generic AI.
- 2☐
Write the details exactly
Type the event name, date, time, address and menu just as they should appear. Keep it short: a flyer is read in two seconds.
- 3☐
Ask for the flyer
Paste the 'Event flyer' prompt into ChatGPT with your style and details.
- 4☐
Go back and forth
Ask for one change at a time: 'make the title bigger', 'more empty space', 'move the date to the top'. Small requests work better than starting again.
- 5☐
Read every letter
Check each word, date, time and price on the image. If anything is wrong, ask ChatGPT to fix it, or retype that text in Canva or your phone's editor.
- 6☐
Get both sizes
Ask for a square version for posts and a tall version for stories, then download them.
- 7☐
Optional: save your style
Save your style sentence in a note (or a ChatGPT Project) so your next flyers match.

💬 Copy-paste prompts
Tap Copy prompt, paste it into your AI (Grok, ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini), then replace the [yellow bits] with your own details.
Make a flyer for my event. Style: [one sentence, e.g. single-line abstract drawing of a city in grey chalk on cream paper, lots of empty space]. Text to include exactly as written: - [event name] - [day, date and time] - [place and address] - [menu or programme, max 5 short lines] - [price or 'free entry'] Keep the text short, large and easy to read on a phone. Don't add any words I haven't given you. Make it square for an Instagram post.
Now make a tall version of the same flyer for stories, keeping the style and text the same. Then list every piece of text that appears on both images, word for word, so I can check spelling, dates and prices.
⚠️ Tips & common mistakes
- AI still misspells words in images: read every letter before posting, and retype text in an editor if needed.
- Use real photos of your actual food or products. Don't let AI fake what customers will get.
- Some customers dislike obviously AI images, so a simple, clear style usually works best.
- The chef in the source also pastes his nightly stock counts into ChatGPT to balance them, then checks the maths himself.
