💸 What will this really cost me?
Prices checked 20 Oct 2026- 🧪 To try it once
- Free trial credit for new Grok Bot accounts (it runs out by how much work the bot does, within 7 days). After that you need The X Subscription Premium at USD 30 (MYR 122) a month.
- 🔁 To keep it running
- Included in Premium: USD 30 (MYR 122) a month, or USD 25 (MYR 102) a month paid yearly. Super (USD 100 / MYR 408) and Ultra (USD 200 / MYR 816) give bigger weekly allowances.
- ⚠️ Watch out for
- Your meeting app may charge for transcripts. Get candidates' permission before recording. Bots share one weekly allowance; past it, extra work is paid from prepaid credit, so set a monthly limit. The Plus plan (USD 8 / MYR 33) doesn't include Grok Bot.

🧰 Before you start
- A Grok Bot plan and the Grok Bot app
- A simple scorecard for the role (3-6 things you're judging, each rated 1-4)
- A meeting transcript or your typed notes from the interview
- Candidates' permission if you record or transcribe interviews
🪜 Step by step
- 1☐
Write the scorecard
In a Google Doc, list what you're judging for the role (for example: customer care, reliability, product knowledge) and what a 1, 2, 3 and 4 looks like for each.
- 2☐
Add the ready-made bot
Open the 'Pulse Scorecards Demo' page (button above) and tap 'Add to Grok Bot'. It was made by a recruiter at xAI and shared as a user template; it drafts scorecards in chat and never submits them itself.
- 3☐
Give it your scorecard
Attach your scorecard Doc to the bot, or paste the 'Scorecard drafter' prompt below if you prefer to build your own bot.
- 4☐
After an interview, hand over the notes
Share the transcript or your notes and say which role it was for. Ask for evidence (quotes) for every rating, not general praise.
- 5☐
Answer its questions
The bot asks for your rating, your gut feeling and anything unclear. Your answers matter most; the transcript only supports them.
- 6☐
Approve and file it
Read the final scorecard, change anything that isn't fair, then copy it into your hiring tracker or let the bot save it to the right folder.
- 7☐
Optional: a prep note before each interview
xAI's guide also has 'Preppy', a bot that drops a short note before each interview about who you're meeting and what to cover. Use the 'Interview prep note' prompt to get the same.

You help me write fair interview scorecards for [business name]. The scorecard for [role] is attached: [criteria with what 1-4 looks like]. When I share a transcript or notes: 1. For each criterion, quote the evidence from the interview and suggest a rating, saying how sure you are. 2. List anything the interview didn't cover. 3. Then ask me 3-4 short questions: my overall rating, how it felt, anything that seemed unclear, and what we should test in the next round. 4. After I answer, rewrite the scorecard in my voice, with my answers taking priority over your suggestions. Never comment on age, race, religion, health, family plans or anything not linked to the job. Never submit or send anything; I file it myself.
30 minutes before each interview in my calendar titled 'Interview: [name]', send me a short note: who they are (from their CV in [folder]), the role, why we liked them, what earlier rounds already covered, and 3 questions to focus on. Keep it under 120 words.
⚠️ Tips & common mistakes
- Grok Bot plans include a weekly usage allowance. If on-demand usage is switched on for your account, extra work after that is billed, so set an account-level on-demand limit in Usage & Billing before you start long routines.
- Tell candidates if the interview is recorded or transcribed, and check your local rules on recording and storing personal data.
- The AI drafts; you decide. Never let a bot reject a candidate on its own.
- Pair it with our guide 'Let AI read and rank job applications against your job description' for the earlier step.
